THE
GREEN
BOX!

This kit is designed to help you be prepared to face
any unforeseen situation without worry and fear. Just as a first aid kit should be in your car, The Green Box should also be in your home.
Each item comes with not only instructions for use, but also practical advice on how to use it, how to save resources and what to avoid in emergency situations. You can fold this box into a mat when you need protection from cold or damp ground – especially when sleeping or resting. Keep it away from water. If necessary, you can use the box as a windbreak or a temporary surface to place items on. If the box gets wet – dry it as soon as possible.
The packaging of the set is not only eco-friendly, but also practical. When you unfold it, you will have a mat on which you can stretch out your sleeping bag or just sit.
Also on the inside of the box you will find the most important information you may need in emergency situations: instructions for first medical and psychological aid.

Contents of The Green Box:

Let dirty water sit until particles settle, then strain it through a clean cloth before adding a tablet. Follow the instructions carefully—too little won’t clean the water, too much can be harmful. Always wait the full time before drinking. If possible, use water from running sources rather than standing water.

Place the gel on a non-flammable surface and light it with matches. Use it to heat food or water by keeping it above the heat. The flame is barely visible but very hot. When done, put the lid on – the gel will extinguish and can be reused. Always keep the container upright to avoid spilling the liquid inside, and be careful after use – the container may be very hot.

FIRE GEL

12
Use these only for the radio and flashlight—your most important tools for staying informed and seeing in the dark. Always replace all batteries in a device at the same time to keep them working properly. Store used batteries separately from new ones and don’t let their ends touch—this could cause a fire.
AAA BATTERIES

11
Write down important information here: contacts of relatives, hiding places, radio frequencies, available supplies and their expiration dates. Keep the pen closed so that it does not dry out, and keep the notebook away from fire - waterproof paper catches fire easily. If you need to share information with others, copy it on a separate sheet of paper and keep the original.

Turn on your city radio frequency as soon as you hear the sirens or reach a safe place. This is your main news and information channel. You will hear official news and instructions on the Lithuanian Radio. If there are people around without radio receivers, share the news with them. Radio frequency: Vilnius – 106.7; Kaunas – 96.4; Klaipėda – 91.7; Šiauliai – 97.0; Panevėžys – 94.9; Alytus – 101.5.

Find the driest place possible and lay a mat or the Green Box under your sleeping bag. Don’t cover yourself completely—let moisture escape to avoid getting cold. Wear warm, breathable clothes, ideally wool. Eating before bed will help keep you warm, as your body heat will spread inside the sleeping bag.

PROTECTIVE SCARF
08
A damp scarf can help filter smoke and dust when breathing. Wearing it on your head protects against sun or cold. If it gets wet, squeeze out excess water and dry it—damp fabric lets in cold air. If clean, it can also be used as a bandage or a simple water filter.

07
Make sure the tool is locked in place before using it—loose parts can fold suddenly and cause injury. After using it for food, clean and dry it well to prevent rust. Keep it away from moisture when possible. Be careful at night, as metal parts reflect light and could attract attention.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL TOOL

06
These matches are waterproof, but keep them dry to maintain their quality. Before lighting, protect the flame from wind. When starting a fire, begin with small sticks and leave some gaps for air to help it burn better.
MATCHES

05
To stop heavy bleeding, press a sterile bandage on the wound and tie it tightly. If the wound is on a limb, put a tourniquet above it and write down the time. Clean your hands before treating wounds. Use a fresh bandage for each new injury. If no medical help is available, look for someone with first aid knowledge.
FIRST AID KIT

04
Turn it on only when needed, and avoid shining it into people’s eyes. Try not to leave your shelter after dark unless necessary—it’s harder to recognize people at night, which can lead to confusion. Darkness also increases the risk of running into thieves.
FLASHLIGHT

03
POWERBANK 20,000MAH, FAST CHARGING
Use it wisely—a full charge can power a phone 3-4 times. Check the charge level before using it. If power is out for a long time, turn off unnecessary phone functions like Bluetooth, mobile data, and Wi-Fi. Share power with those whose phones are completely dead—they may need to contact family.
02

Eat these bars only when you need quick energy, not as regular snacks. Drink water while consuming them to help with digestion — they're quite dry and can increase thirst. If you have hot water available, crumble the bar into it to make warming porridge. Save a portion of a bar for later if you're not extremely hungry.
ENERGY BAR

01
Eat regularly but don’t waste food—you don’t know when you’ll get more. Divide your meals into three parts and stick to this plan. Once you open a package, try to finish it to avoid spoilage. If others are without food, share, but keep enough to maintain your own strength.
